Le Alfré x Hillrock Signature Reserve Solera Aged Bourbon (Limited Edition)

£222.00

* Limited Edition Item

* Only 250 bottles produced. Numbered 1 to 250.

Le Alfré's first ever signature reserve whiskey in collaboration with world-renowned, award winning whiskey distillery, Hillrock Estate Distillery located in Hudson Valley, New York. After aging in Hillrock's Solera and Oloroso Sherry Casks, this ultra special, signature reserve whiskey is then finished in rare French Premier Cru Sauternes wine casks. Sauternes wine, known as the “nectar of the gods”, was prized by both Thomas Jefferson and George Washington in the 18th century. This artisanal whiskey merges the unique terroir of the Hudson Valley with old world European tradition and craftsmanship.

Hillrock Solera Aged Bourbon is the first American whiskey to be aged in the centuries-old Solera method used traditionally to create exceptional Sherries, Ports, Madeiras, and Cognacs.

  • Only 250 bottles produced. Numbered 1 to 250. Handcrafted in Hudson Valley, New York.
  • No restocks once sold out.

This honey amber whiskey displays a complex nose of caramel, vanilla bean, nuts and oak with hints of orange blossom, Meyer lemon zest and honey. Slightly nutty flavors of honey-coated roasted nuts and cinnamon compliment the warm toffee, caramel, and vanilla essences balanced by honeydew melon, citrus and apricot notes opening to a long, clean finish with a lively vanilla, floral oaked finish loaded with honey.

Hillrock Estate Distillery is one of the world's best distilleries, with their Solera Aged Bourbon among the highest awarded in the spirits industry. Previous awards from Hillrock's Solera-aged Bourbon...

ABOUT HILLROCK ESTATE DISTILLERY

Award Winning Field to Glass Whiskey

Hillrock Estate Distillery is one of the only "Field to Glass" whiskey distilleries in the world and the first ever U.S. distillery since Prohibition to traditionally floor malt and handcraft whiskeys on site from estate-grown grain.

Hillrock farm spans over 800 acres and grows all of their own grain sustainably, handcrafting each bottle using small batch copper pot distill and all on the Estate in Hudson Valley, New York.

200 YEARS IN THE MAKING

The History of Hudson Valley

In the early 1800’s, New York produced more than half the young nation’s Barley and Rye and the Hudson Valley was the country’s breadbasket. With abundant high quality grain, local craft spirits flourished and over 1,000 farm distilleries produced Whiskey and Gin reflecting the unique terroir of the region. In the 1930’s, Prohibition forced these distilleries to shut their doors and this wellspring of American spirits was left dry.

Hillrock Estate was created to produce the finest hand-crafted spirits made with estate-owned grain, floor malted, craft distilled in our copper pot still, aged in fine oak and hand bottled in the Hudson Valley Highlands. Crowned by a fine 1806 Georgian house built by a successful grain merchant and Revolutionary War Captain and meticulously restored to its original beauty, Hillrock Distillery overlooks the historic rolling barley fields and the distant Berkshire Mountains. Every detail is meticulously steeped in the tradition of 200 years of rich history.
